Masterchef final 4? ~ Julia, Poh, Lucas & Chris
What’s the collective noun for a group of Masterchef contestants… a goulash? A bolognaise? Perhaps a souffle…
Alright then. A souffle of contestants from cooking competition show Masterchef were seen outside the ACP building in Park Street in the city this afternoon.
In attendance were members of the top 6: Lucas, Julia, Poh and Chris; plus a blonde girl I initially thought might be Justine (whom I used to have a slight crush on) but alas not ~ it was apparently a minder of some kind.
All four were dressed quite formally in suit jackets, with the girls in black dresses. Probably for a magazine photo shoot of some kind. What struck me about all four is that they have exactly the same “vibe” as they do on TV; they all seem like very normal and down-to-earth folks ~ which is of course what they are. Unlike a certain visiting British cooking celeb we could mention…

29/06/09 Edit & Update: Having now seen last night’s episode (28/06), and based on people’s comments, I am now fairly certain I’ve stumbled on a major spoiler. So are Julia, Lucas, Poh and Chris the top 4 Masterchef finalists ~ with Poh returning on the back of a judges choice?

01/07/09 Update: Just watching tonight’s (Wed) ep, and Poh is back! So far it’s looking like my sighting a couple of weeks back was indeed a MAJOR spoiler. Remains to be seen if she gets through this round ~ but I think it’s looking good at this stage! SCW
Hi everyone. Thanks to Reality Ravings for linking to my blog; however I do not believe I have got a major spoiler here. Look at who was present: Poh (eliminated); NO Julie, NO Sam.
I think this was merely a photo op of some kind, but it would be nice if it was a spoiler.
In fact that’s what I thought at first !! Then my partner informed my Poh was eliminated the week before (unbeknownst to me). Just wanted to clear this up.

Sounds like there’s going to be a wildcard from the previews just then. Poh getting back in?
the judges pick an eliminated contestant to come back as a wildcard.. so this could be the top 4..
Hmm ~ I now think you guys may be right !!!
When I first saw the guys in the city, I thought OMG I’ve spotted the Top 4. But then I heard Poh was eliminated and I thought oh that’s not it then.
But now ~ and this is what I had been waiting for ~ we have judges choice. I am now pretty much convinced that I have got a major spoiler on my hands!!
And all this from just going about my business and spotting celebs in the street. How random!
I read this and immediately thought it meant that the final 2 were Justine and Julie. I really want Justine to win!
I am really confused ~ last night Lucas was given the heave-ho, but that day in front of the building he was with Chris, Julia and Poh. Something screwy is going on here!!!
Well given that Lucas was eliminated yesterday this group cannot be the final four, which seems to imply *very* strongly that they are the also-rans meaning that the final two are Justine and Julie.
That is an excellent suggestion!! I didn’t even twig to that. I think you could easily be correct, wbradfor. Well done!
Now given that Julia is gone that seems to cement the fact that the four were the last week casualties. As the promos for tonight involve a lot of tears from the judges I’ll predict a Poh meltdown and elimination (as noone else of the four would seem to warrant tears from Gary of all people….).
